Lorenza is CEO and founder of Artemis Muse Productions, a boutique strategic consulting firm specializing in curating awareness-raising events for movie campaigns, socially minded business and nonprofit initiatives. A former senior executive at Amazon MGM Studios, she served as EVP of Global Member Relations and Awards at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, where she led worldwide activities for 9,000+ filmmakers and artists. She guided the Academy through transformation, creating inclusion initiatives for women and underrepresented groups. Before her entertainment career, she wrote over 3,000 articles as a Los Angeles Times journalist covering entertainment, business, and government. Her work earned her the 2023 Inspirational Women's Leadership Award.

Entertainment Leadership
At the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Lorenza directed global activities and initiatives for the organization's 9,000+ members. She developed and implemented strategies to increase representation of women and underrepresented groups, including leading the Academy's response to the Oscars-so-White conversation. She managed VIP and talent relations for the Academy Awards and all member events, establishing protocols that balanced exclusivity with inclusivity.
Previously, she held senior executive positions at Amazon MGM Studios, where she continued her work bridging entertainment with broader cultural impact.
Journalism and Writing
Before transitioning to entertainment, Lorenza spent more than a decade at the Los Angeles Times, writing over 3,000 articles spanning entertainment, business, and government coverage. She continues her writing practice, currently working on a memoir about her experiences as an internationally ranked swimmer. Her essay "American Girl" appears in the anthology Border-Line Personalities: A New Generation of Latinas Dish on Sex, Sass, and Cultural Shifting. Her insights and expertise have been featured across media platforms including NPR, CNN, and various local stations.
Athletics and Achievement
Lorenza competed at the highest levels of international swimming, representing her country in the World Championships, Pan Am Games, and Pan Pacific Games. She also competed for UC Berkeley's swim team. In 2023, the Los Angeles Times recognized her innovative leadership in entertainment and journalism with the Inspirational Women's Leadership Award. Born in Mexico City, Lorenza is fluent in Spanish and proficient in French. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and three children, tends to an edible garden, and enjoys cooking for friends and family.
